The Cambridge Middle School boys' basketball teams played at Barnesville on Monday night with the seventh graders picking up a win and the eighth grade dropping a close game.
The Cambridge seventh grade team defeated Barnesville 51-21.
"Everyone played great and played hard," said coach Christian Tetirick. "I'm proud of the kids."
Bryson Holdron led the Cats with 10 points, Parker Hollins scored nine points and Russell Frymyer came off the bench to score nine points as well.
The Cambridge 8th grade fought hard brought the energy but unfortunately, came up short 36-27.
"Barnesville hit a couple shots late in the game and was able to pull away," explained coach Kohl Ward "We struggled from the field and couldn’t get shots to fall."
AJ Lawrence lead the team with 10 points, Tate Sikora added seven, and Carter Gebhart scored five.
The Middle School Bobcats are back in action on Thursday when they host Skyvue.
