Cambridge City School District will be hosting kindergarten registration on April 4 and 5 at Cambridge Primary School for all children in the district who will be starting school next fall. If your child is age-eligible for kindergarten – five years old by August 1, 2023 – we encourage you to attend this event.
Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 to 6 p.m. on both days at the Cambridge Primary School, 1115 Clairmont Ave. in Cambridge.
On Thursday, March 30, Primary School Principal April Massey and Director of Federal Programs Rose Marie Daymut will host a Facebook Livestream event to answer questions about kindergarten and the kindergarten registration process.
Parents may view the event live at 5:30 p.m. on the Cambridge City School District Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/Cambridge-City-School-District-109190940710230/). The video recording of the Livestream event will remain on Facebook for viewing at a later time.

During the registration event, parents will have the opportunity to complete registration forms and establish a parent account in the district’s registration portal.
Parents need to bring:
? A copy of the child’s birth certificate
? Current immunization record
? Proof of residency (a utility bill or lease agreement)
? A copy of any legal custody papers related to the child if they exist.
These documents are required to complete registration. If needed, copies of the original documents can be made during registration.
Once the registration process is complete, parents will schedule two follow up meetings for each registered student:
? Kindergarten screening on May 2, 3 or 4 at the Garfield Administrative Center.
? Kindergarten Readiness Assessments on August 15 or 16 at the Primary School.
