“We Are Cambridge.
Empowering Bobcats for the Future”

Title 1

Title 1

Title I is a Federal program whose purpose is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and to reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.

Notice of Parents' Right to Know

You have the right to know the teaching qualifications of your child’s classroom teacher in a school receiving Title I funds (Cambridge Primary School, Cambridge Intermediate School, and Cambridge Middle School).  The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) requires that any school district receiving Title I funds must notify parents of each student attending any school receiving Title I funds that they may request, and the district will provide the parents on request (and in a timely manner), information regarding the professional qualifications of the student’s classroom teachers, including at a minimum, the following:

  1. Whether the teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas in which the teacher provides instruction;

  2. Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or other provisional status through which State qualification or licensing criteria have been waived;

  3. Whether the teacher is teaching in the field of discipline of the certification of the teacher; and

  4. Whether your child is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.

If you wish to request this information, please contact the Director of Federal Programs at 740-439-3895.
